The Drive for Schools Fundraiser is an annual county-wide fundraiser hosted by the Subaru of Santa Cruz and Toyota of Santa Cruz and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Participating schools are provided with tickets to sell for the drawing. The grand prize for the winner of the drawing is a BRAND NEW CAR, or if the winner is not in the market for a new car, they can also choose a $25,000 CASH PRIZE. The Fundraiser begins around the 3rd week of September and runs approximately four weeks. The final drawing is held sometime around the 3rd weekend of October. Our goal is to have each student sell at least one packet of tickets (six tickets valued at $25). If this happens, the school easily raises $15,000. Previous year’s funds raised have been between $13,000 – 15,000. Classes compete with each other to sell the most tickets. The three winning classrooms with the most tickets sold (TK/K/1st, 2nd/3rd and 4th/5th) win a special party!
